I'm Not Sure if It Impunizes the Letter or Not
I wonder what the language is that unites people who are uncomfortable with the censorious trends in the culture, either from the right or the left. And I think that the easy simplistic language of left and right breaks down when we try to talk about this issue. The letter speaks for itself in one limited abstract narrow sense but there's a political project behind it as well. There's a polemical position being taken that is shaped by the current debate.
