Listeners rated themselves with an above average rating for intelligence, honesty and cooking ability. This shouldn't be the case as half of us need to be below average in these areas. But we are naturally over confident so our responses don't level out on average. We think we know our partner better than we actually do. A study with couples found that each partner stated that they did more chores than their partners - which is impossible.
