The DSF's Role in Django's Development

As fallows, Maris and I are community managers not there to write software. The DSF's role is not there to steer the technical direction of Django. We're looking at something that we could fund in the community - a PIMongle or an ODM for MongoDB. If we want to have first party support in Django then we need to step up and provide it ourselves.
