The Influence of NGOs on the Formation of New Laws
I find it hard to believe that what I'm seeing at the state level as a result of advocacy from NGOs is about the consumer. It's meant to send an overarching message that these products aren't safe and they need more and more regulation. Ultimately, who ends up paying the price both literally and figuratively is the consumer. There is power in NGOs and to be honest, it means we have to work twice as hard.
