If someone is pushing a higher carb diet, they're actively hurting you. Don't just try to be right all the time. And then says, Hey, my clients all lose 100 pounds on keto. It's the best way to do it. Carbs are harmful. This is actually the cause of obesity. So I'm not saying you can't lose weight on keto, but check this out. All these folks can get really, really lean and you'll watch the goal post shift. Boom. That person now thinks you're an asshole or chipping away that science does well. They're not willing in that conversation to take that person anywhere. These counter-arguments exist
