Bristol has a river running through it, and indeed a cat or canal system. It's also got areas with narrow lanes where you come upon unexpected shops. The amount of green space is absolutely astonishing up on clif ond downd. If you aren't going to get to a beach then it's almost certainly going to be western supermaor which is a fair old distance away.
