The Inorganic Receptor, a Radio Receiver, Reduced Inresponsiveness to Stimuli
Around the beginning of the twentieth century, bose's interest in many aspects of the electromagnetic spectrum led him to question the distinction traditionally made between living and non living entities. He found that metals gradually lost their responsiveness to repeated electrical stimuli. When left to rest, metals recovered their responsiveness, as was the case with muscles. But then when left passive for prolonged periods of time, metals became quite inert,. again, similar to the passiveness of muscles left inactive for prolonged period of times.
