What Is the Purpose of Grief?
From an evolutionary perspective, why do we grieve? What is the purpose of grief? We are wired to protest separation. The child is yearning for reunion. And then sort of trying to imagine that that loss of attachment, even as someone gets older, is it dangerous to our bodies and our brains? I mean, that that level of loss, do we experience something that's damn ging in any way to our bodies or brains? It's a controversial question you're asking,. But i don't think that's a helpful frame right?
