The Benefit of the Doubt
We need to give kids the benefit of the doubt. More often than not, there's a totally different reason for why they might appear lazy on the surface. And i think they, again, they feel understood, which is a really valuable thing for kids at school when they feel like nobody gets it. My son used to come home from school and cry. You know, they keep telling me to try harder. They have no idea. I'm doing my absolute y very best. I'm trying so hard.
