The Effects of Divorce on Children
"No fault divorce literally trained a generation to believe that it's not," she says. "We have this cultural narrative that if the adults are happy, the kids will be happy." The children of high conflict divorces feel relief when they realize there was something wrong with their parents' marriage and can move on in their own relationships. But for those 70% who were abused or had an abusive parent, Divorce doesn't affect them as much.
