The Rise and Fall of the US Dollar
In 2007 August of 2007 something I write about in the book the euro dollar system which is the offshore system of the US dollar currency that's issued by historically European banks broke down. The Fed came in and instituted a foreign exchange swap line with the European central bank four months later to backstop European banks that had lent dollars into existence outside of the Federal Reserve system.
