The Mystery of Supermassive Black Hole Cosmology

Supernovas. Amazingly energetic stuff is happening out there that could be creating these neutrinos and gamma rays. It's AGN active galactic nuclei, which means supermassive black holes. These are billions of times the mass of the sun. They're just incredible objects that are so complex. We're just barely scratching the surface of how gnarly they are.
