Science Needs Reports, but We're Not About That

The value of research is what other people understand from it, not merely lists of data results. A good scientific hypothesis is a statement about how you think nature works that you're going to try to falsify and test by doing that. And so we will learn useful things regardless of whether you falsify it or support it. There's an i think, as authors, we don't like to be wrong, so we don'tlike to falsify our hypotheses. That was our pet idea but we're going to be wrong - get used to it.
