We can't say that the nature of God is completely impersonal, argues Bogakov. And yet this is not static, it's expressing always the inexhaustible origin of the father, and it's endlessly interpreted by the spirit to be unified with the father. I think if we don't see that, we haven't quite got what I would describe as the radical depth of Christianity. This becomes very appropriate as we move into a century of the Eurasian where the Eurasian so far figures as appalling tragedy.
