I Love the Book, Sam, and the Gray Area Between Justice and Vengeance
One of the more bitter parts of the book was this chasm you mentioned between a racist warrant and his conviction. I want to get at some of the differences of evidence and sort of the premium law places on, say, official documents versus witness testimony. It becomes very different contextually when you perhaps are working with cases that have already been worked over so much historically where we know, for instance, that a thousand people died.
