How to Detect Dark Matter Particles in Run 2

If dark matter exists in a range that we can see at the LHC, then we might expect it to be produced by proton-proton collisions later this summer. We're adapting our experimental strategies now to make best use of the data from Run 2. It will take quite a long time to get enough data so that you could analyze it and actually convince yourself that you've really got some missing energy. One nice thing that might happen is something completely unexpected. That would be almost more exciting than detecting something we've already predicted.
