I think in a way the poop emoji is a kind of it's become a kind of satire of a dystopian technological present. I've been working through on another project this year, and my project is basically working on a book on Japanese Twitter novels. There's also some serialized Twitter novels that I look at, but primarily I'm looking at ones that claim to be a novel in 140 characters which is a weird format right there. More like jokes than they are novels or poetry some people call them. And as a way to say that these things that are overtly calling themselves fiction relate to the news cycle.
