The Relationship Between Aristotle and Islamic Philosophy
Islamic philosophers faced the issue that not all of Aristotle's work was compatible with Islamic theology. Ibn Sinha had developed his own thoughts on the issue of creation, arguing that creation is an action which must exist outside of time. In making this argument, he was building on the foundation of Aristotle, while also harmonizing his work with the particular religious and philosophical concerns of the time.
