As jesus looks at this man, his eyes not only see the horror of his paralysis. There's a deeper issue in this man. The heart of christ runs out toward this thing. Boy, this vinette is so important for us in our personal lives. It's so easy to begin to believe that my greatest problem in life exists somewhere outside of me, and not inside of me. That's a horrible deceit. And t will lead you away from the gospel of grace. Because cis only ever exciting to sinners.
