What Did Your Parents Teach You About Race in America?

As a young man growing up in the suburbs, what did your parents teach you about what it means to be black in America and race in general? Nothing. I had no training whatsoever for my parents. And they went right back into what they were comfortable with and what they know. Yesterday was marked a loop again day. But I've spent more time to my kids, what it Means To Be Black In America than I ever had any education on at school.
