Don't Call Yourself a Data Scientist

If you want to be a data scientist and you're already doing the work of data science, start calling yourself a data scientist. Sometimes folks will think that that is dishonest or you're just genuine when you call yourself a data scientists merely because your employer doesn't call you aData Scientist. If you're doing data science work, the best way to be adata scientist is to do data science work. That's advice that I probably wish someone had given to me earlier on. Maybe I would have become a data scientist sooner. Who knows? Hindsight is always 20 and 20...I'm not upset about how my career unfolded."
