Camilla was the oldest child of Major Bruce Shand a wine merchant and Rosalind Cubitt whose family once developed most of London's Belgravia. She attended Dumbrol school Sussex and Queensgate in South Kensington where she is remembered for climbing onto the roof for cigarettes. Camilla has never needed to work because of a £500,000 inheritance from the cubit family. Miller as she was known was a regular tomboy with an extrovert personality.
