Lacey was frustrated with her job at a poor black school in Georgia. She still didn't feel like she was getting all the resources and training she needed. A friend told Lacey about schools in affluent communities outside New York City. Her plan was to go to wealthy schools in the suburbs, learn everything she could about how the kids were taught.
