effective altruism is a push to constantly be asking yourself, ok, but is this investment actually better than saving a life in expectation by donating to the against malaria foundation. And even though there's this evidence backed, i guess the relationship to evidence bact is that maybe if you're really focused on that, then you're really, sort of obsessed with figuring out whether the thing you're doing is in fact going to have the effect you think it will. So like really foregrounding, being evidence back is like giving people a bit of a red herring, ok?
