How Do Maggots Smell?
I've always been interested in history and what gave me the excuse to develop this interest. In fact, it was through maggots that I ended up being very interested first in 17th century history. And then I've written a number of other books alongside that both on history of science and on the history of the Second World War. So this is an additional interest to my day job, which is studying the sense of smelling maggots,. But also teaching students a lot of stuff about evolutionary biology and sensory neuroscience.
