The Magnificat is one of those good scripture passages that we get this time of the year but I think sometimes we overlook how radical of a passage it actually is. This past year Hannah Shanks wrote a neat book called This is My Body Embracing the Messiness of Faith and Motherhood. She unlike most Christians on Twitter actually has a good take on Mary. What if Mary wasn't the first she was just only the first one to be able to get across the finish line?
