I read the Lord of the Rings in high school long before any of the movies were ever made. I actually played sick during this period because it was so exciting to read this book. The original language of Tolkien is really, really nice. Did you visualise the characters when you read? Yes, yes. I've always been good at visualization. That's my force actually.
