i found it to be very cathartic to go through 20 years of letters, one by one. I was starting this new chapter of my life, and i kind of said good bye to these things while remembering the memories and holding on to it. If you really just want to close your eyes and let go, i think it's ok to have somebody take care of that for you. And as an author, i love that. You know, i moved, and got rid of a lot of stuff, and liked ten books, but nine thousand remained. It's hard to throw them away in a beautiful way.
