In 705 BC, Hezekiah was king of a kingdom on the fringes of Assyrian Empire. When his predecessor Sargon died in battle, he decided to try and take back control by fighting rebellions elsewhere. "What's there to lose? I mean, you could die, obviously, but what’s there to lose, really?" says historian Andrew Keen.
