If there's a trial and a conviction of Trump, it will probably exacerbate some of those divides. If you can't agree that January 6 was bad, then I can't be on the same side of you as you are. There is a real difference upon sort of, if January 6 is bad as a contested position. We are in a unresolvable conflict on some level. This is a great example of this. The faction of people who are very loyal to Trump and very anti-democracy in their attitudes,. They are not the entire Republican Party; they are disproportionately powerful.
