The Japanese Idol Culture

I find it amazing how quickly V-Tubers have exploded. I feel like we're just on the cusp of something similar happening to English speaking college. There's a level of fakeness that is uncomfortable for me, especially in the UK. It's when you are imbuing fictional aspects to real people and you expect real people to act like fictional characters. The reason why these work is because they can be perfect, or it's the idea of them that is perfect. To me, that is the unhealthy side of things.
