Persistence Is a Very Important Part of Creativity
I know some very creative scientists who have a problem with that, who cling to ideas and are reluctant to admit that they're wrong. But being stubborn in the sense of not being able to recognize that you've just been wrong seems to me hard to put together with creativity. The main thing actually in our joint work was that we had an enormous amount of fun. We really enjoyed each other's company enormously. So it was always a pleasure. And we had infinite patience.
