Is the CFPB Doing a Better Job?
A lot of at-risk consumers are still feeling the pain from the pandemic. In fact, complaints rose 80% in 2022 over 2021. Of all the complaints in the database, which I believe is six or seven years old, 25% of them in aggregate were submitted last year. We're keeping an eye on this trend about expanding compliance requirements to non-bank entities.
