Pediatric Anesthesia - What's the Difference?

The mindsets of somebody who does pediatrics, even pediatric critical care is very different than the mindset of anesthesia. So that's a really interesting cross section of different mindsets to be exposed to at a formative point in your career. Some of it felt like really kind of finding my true self. I had always wanted to take care of kids when I was in medical school and I got there and it just wasn't what I was expecting. And so that's why I was originally drawn to the ICU.
