The Importance of Play
I think play is just the word that I cannot hear enough honestly when it comes to creative work. The magic circle for me sometimes is the page or the notebook, then it's like, well, what can happen here? You know, so that's definitely a stage for me. What strikes me about stand-up is just how much you have to bomb and how much you need to try things out on stage. That kind of environment is disappearing with cell phones and recording devices.
