I think a lot of people feared that Go would suffer the way C++ did because people started writing programs that frankly, no one could understand using templates. I personally have not really come across people over using generics. It's kind of too early to say honestly. Give it a couple of years, two or three years, and we'll see whether things are moving in a dubious direction or not.
