I'm pleased to report that globalization is alive and well. Global trade volumes in goods have reached or returned to nearly record levels, about $6 trillion a year in global goods trade. The secular taillands that drive migration, which is to say, labor shortages, geoflitical risk, climate change, the search for better life, family connections, that's all still there. A hundred countries realized overnight during COVID that you need people. And without enabling circulation and travel of people, so much of your economy will suffer.
