What Is a Data Matrix?
A matrix is like a bunch of column vectors, all side by side. The one that we're most familiar with is a data matrix. We can have rows and columns that are not equal to each other. And wait for it, say, square matrixs every day. There are correlation matrics, there are co varianc matrics. It's p by p. So if n by p is your sample, an is the number of cases, P by p is a square matrix.
