The identity of the person does act. It is actually relevant to whether they're making ou credible argument. Making n argun from authority is sort of the flip side of making a dominum attack, because it's the opposite thing you'r doing exactly the opposite. Instead of undermining somebody a, not by addressing his argument, but by addressing his character. You do the opposit yore, building an argument based on somebody's credentials. If you make it air tight, if you say that just because person acts is an expert in that field, thand whatever he says goes and there are no possible exceptions, dan you ife committing a fallacy.
