Zero UI: The Future of Interfaces

We're never going to lose the screen. It's actually we're going to end up with more and more screens on everything. But if we can complement them with other modes of interaction, then I think we can vastly speed up the things that we find annoying and time consuming and boring. No one wants to fiddle around with interfaces because no one wants to interact with an interface. And that's what I think zero UI can really work through a combination of automating things through kind of short cutting a lot of the functional stuff so that you don't need to spend time thinking about it. I think that's where it can be written.
