Is the Fed Doing Average Inflation Targeting?
The real question is, will they get past inflation going above two % when they eed to make up? That, to me, is the real test of this. And that's why i think in practice, it's going to look a lot like a nominal g p level target. Could effect exchange rates, it could bee stabilizing for these other regions of the world until they have policies that may be adapt so if that's the case, maybe these other central banks will fiel the pressure to follow and also start some kind of make up policy.
