Is Your Adolescent Experience Stressful?
Stress is all very relative, says author Tono Estia. What constitutes a stresser depends on who it falls on and the resources they happen to have on hand. Teen inches just don't have that life experience, she argues. And so we need to be careful not to seem invalidating or dismissive of how powerful events are for them. The model i talk about a lot in under pressure of stress is that it's like a weight lifting programme. You can't get stronger unless you're lifting uncomfortably heavy weights,. Students don't become more capable at school unless they're doing work that is demanding, ah, and unpleasant right?
