I Love Macbeth, but I Love Serena by Ron Rash
All's Well by Mona O'Wad takes Macbeth and Shakespeare and does some really fun, weird things with it. The book is about a theater professor who wants to stage the titular play that ends well because she has history with it. There are three men in suits who approach her at a bar and sort of tell her, like, hey, we can grant you a wish kind of thing. And she ends up on this somewhat supernatural journey where her pain is gone and she's that much more powerful.
