The rub here is find a to keep a mind open enough to be able to see the saturn's rings. But on the other hand, you don't want to be so open minded that you just believe every whacky idea that every other person comes up with. The most famous example of this was in 18 95 when lord kelvin asked if new people should enter physics. He basically grated the entire field by saying, now you're just bookkeeping, ok? And those few clouds became the berthing experiments for all of quantum physics. In there o became the birthing things that needed explanation from einstein's relativity.
