Is Scaffolding Really Effective?

In tribal societies, you wouldn't have had the kind of things like mathematics or some deep analytic sense of history. In modern culture, you don't have that anymore. So yeah, I wanted to say that it's understandable that imitation is so important but also it has implications when we think about pedagogy. There's a thing called the worked example effect. It makes sense because you can think about this as imitation. Basically, you show someone here, look, I'm doing a problem. Look at me. And then they end up imitating your solution of the problem,. But start from easier cases and move to harder ones. That's a connection that we can make between cognitive science
