We gravitate towards these lower value activities constantly. Why do we lie to ourselves about it when we recount our day? I think one, it comes down to lack of clarity. If you got a call right now that one of your kids was in the hospital, would you and I still be having this conversation right now? No. Because it's to higher level of importance. People don't have that level of clarity when it comes to their priorities. So they default to saying yes to whatever is at the top of the list. It just becomes last in first out accounting.
