The Stonewall Raid, the Night of Stonewall, 1969
Stonewall was paying $10,000 a month to the local precinct for sort of this deal. The cop that carries out the raid is named Seymour Pine. He's a former World War II soldier that was actually at the Battle of the Bulge. We were at a time when the best words that we had for gender nine conformity were based not on how you felt, but on what you were wearing.
