The Challenges of Master Narrative Research

Master narrative structures are often so implicit and so taken for granted that they're like the background of the story people are telling. In our field of personality there is a real bias against publishing work with you know marginalized groups groups who are not commonly studied more qualitative designs or smaller end designs. The all of the incentive structures in academia push people towards maximum and easily quantifiable productivity which often means quantity over quality.
