Hoyt Hoddle: The Man Who Invented Napalm
The most powerful interview I think in the whole book is with this guy, Hoyt Hoddle, who's the guy who ran the program that invented napalm. He leads a team that comes up with napalm and they're interviewing him after the war. And he doesn't know when he leads this effort in the early 40s that he's going to invent napalm. It creates its own kind of meteorological ecosystem because it burns so hot. So you don't just die from the fire. You buy a die because it sucks out all the oxygen in its particular.
