The Battle of Hobkirk's Hill
The battle of hobkirk's hill was another puric victory for the british with forty dead and over 200 wounded. Green took the rest of his forces west to drive off the 550 mannd garrison, mostly loyalists, the town of 96, south carolina. But after a few weeks of digging trenches, news arrived that redun was personally leading a two thousand man relief army out of charleston. If anyone personified the old clichet of losing the battle but winning the war, it was Nathaniel green.
